A KCC customized version of Scott Murison's plan.
Welcome to our first newsletter for 2008. We have several items to review starting with our 2008 Membership Kick-off evening!
You are invited to join the new executive for a KCC Kick-off evening at
Spokes for Folks (30
North Street, Cambray) on March 29th from 7-9 p.m. We’ll have a
selection of beverages and snacks available to enjoy while meeting with fellow riders and reviewing
our 2008 programs and events. This will also be a great time to renew your membership (forms
will be available) and get a preview of (and a chance to order) our newly designed Club Jerseys and
shorts (more below).
A quick reminder of what the club has to offer. Our organized rides are flexible and able to suit the needs of our members. We can add programs and events to suit the membership depending on interest level.
Although our costs are increasing this year we have decided to hold the membership fee to $45 for 2008. We are also giving an incentive to join NOW. Until April 15 we are offering a reduced fee of $40! Check out our web page to download the form and take advantage of this early bird saving or join us at the March 22nd Kick-off evening where all the forms will be available.
We have redesigned our club Jerseys and shorts to incorporate your
suggestions. We are certain you’ll appreciate the new design (check it out soon on our website www.kawarthacyclingclub.com). We will be placing stock orders (including
women’s shorts!) this year that will significantly increase availability. Come to the Kick-off meeting to view the new
design. We are also offering a $10 per item discount when you order prior to April 15. You can order items by contacting us through the website, at the Kick-off
Meeting or through contact with one of the executive.
The 2008 executive team of volunteers were elected at our December AGM and are:
President: Mike Gorman
Vice-president: Art Hornibrook
Secretary: Deb Craven
Treasurer: Ton Van Nieuwkerk
Tours: Brian Devan
Mountain: Dave Girolametto
Public Relations: Craig Goselin
We will be holding regular meetings. The dates are posted on our website at www.kawarthacyclingclub.com. You are most welcome to submit suggestions to your executive or come to the meetings.
We have attached our 2007 financial statement for your review. As you can see we are a healthy club with sufficient resources to fully support existing and new programs.
